Since stepping into this world four years ago, I’ve learned more about myself — and the mind-body connection — than I ever thought possible.

 It’s astonishing how little of this life-changing knowledge is taught in schools.

The gap between what we’re taught and what we actually need to thrive — emotionally, physically, and mentally — is vast. Emotional intelligence, trauma awareness, nervous system regulation, somatic practices, even basic neuroscience — these are transformational tools. 

And yet, they’re barely touched on in mainstream education.

We’re taught to memorise, not to embody. 
We’re rarely shown how stress lives in the body, how belief systems shape our identity, or how to build resilience through nervous system support. What I couldn't I needed to know, is if this was my central nervous system sending abnormal pain messages around my body, then surely I could reverse what was happening. If it was stuck, then I could just un-stick it, Right?
 
Most of what I’ve learned has come from textbooks, from emerging science, holistic practices, and above all else, Real Lived Experience, which is why I know this stuff works.

 I’ve lived with the symptoms of fibromyalgia for as long as I can remember — pain, fatigue, brain fog — all while trying to maintain a “normal” life.
 But eventually, the cracks became impossible to ignore.
 I hit rock bottom. 

Only then did medical investigations and years of records finally reveal the truth: fibromyalgia.

Strangely, the diagnosis set me free.

 It validated what I’d always felt — that it wasn’t all in my head.

 I was seen. 
I was understood. 
That moment marked the beginning of my healing journey.
I started exploring everything I could about how the body holds and stores emotion, how the nervous system shapes our day-to-day wellbeing, and why conventional medicine often misses the emotional roots of chronic illness. 

It was through Conscious Connected Breathwork and nervous system regulation that I finally found something I never expected — real, tangible relief.

 Yes I still get the odd flare, but my level of self awareness means I quickly and effectively manage it - .

For years, I was stuck in a silent, invisible cage — held back by self-neglect, unprocessed trauma, and the weight of never feeling “well enough.” I was slowly withering. 

But somewhere deep inside, a flicker of hope remained — small, stubborn, sacred.
 It refused to go out.
I knew I was meant for more.

The Emotional Baggage I Didn’t Know I Carried
Fibromyalgia was more than just pain—it was my body crying out. 
Years of smiling on the outside while suppressing deep emotions had taken their toll. 
Small childhood hurts, relationship stress, family trauma—all quietly stored away, never properly processed.

 On the surface, I was bubbly, had a popular business, I was dependable; ‘great at my job’but when it came time for me, to switch off..? 

 I was EXHAUSTED through the masking, both physically and emotionally.

Through a blend of healing approaches, some modalities that I now teach and share, I finally started releasing that emotional weight.

 The chest pains, the heavy limbs, the fatigue—it wasn’t “just” Fibromialgia. It was grief, guilt, fear, shame, embarrasment. Held in for years, trapped within my facsia.
